dc.description.abstractThe increasing number of cars in urban cities, including the mobility of people, lead to parking problems. Therefore, to avoid these problems; it is important to provide urban cities with parking that are well designed and useful in terms of time, commodity, and quality. This will allow drivers to park without permitting any urban disorder and to gain time. This work proposes an alternative solution, which consists to implement an intelligent parking system based on radio frequency identification technology (RFID) and infrared sensors (IR). The aim of this work is to develop a system that indicates users, in real-time, the status of occupancy of the parking spaces with an enclosure. The method that was adopted to solve this problem consists of (1) identifying the functionalities and the choice of the different components of our system; and (2) programming the above features to simulate our system in Proteus software. The results of these works have made possible through the implementation of the system in a Mega Arduino microcontroller.en_US
