Résumé: | The construction of forest roads is the most expensive operation in the forestry sector. However, the design and construction of roads in rough terrain can increase construction and maintenance costs and result in numerous environmental impacts. This is why road managers should consider as many route variants as possible in order to find the solution that minimizes construction, maintenance costs and negative impacts on the environment. In this research, we tried to introduce a suitable method for locating forest roads simultaneously using GIS and AHP. The objective of this study was to plan the forest road network using geographic information systems (GIS) based on multi-criteria decision analysis (MCDA). These methods were performed using the slope, aspect, elevation, growing material, hydrographic network, soil, bedrock, and landslide susceptibility map of the study area. First, the required data was collected from the study of the region. Effective factors that impact the road network in the study area have been identified and the necessary maps have been generated and classified. The next step focused on the importance and role of the items mentioned in the cost of road construction. Then, by overlaying the weighted affecting factor maps, a road construction forestry potential map was created. Third, the card has been classified into the following three categories: high capacity, moderate and low. On the current map, the planned road network has been designed using Arc GIC software. Finally, the planned road network was assessed by merging the planned road network and the road planning potential map. The results of this study showed that the planned roads had 85% accessibility for the logging planning area. The methodology used for this study can also be applied to other forest area. |
