This research is based on a comparative study relating an analysis on the effects of the use of a school management software (SMSf) on the performance of a Government High School in Cameroon. Hence, the main objective being to determine the importance of the use of a school management software on the level of performance of a school. Therefore, this main objective is declined in secondary objectives, namely: examining the impact of the automatic task processing on school unit efficiency; assessing, through Skolaris, the extent of flexibility in communication and information access on the quality of school management; evaluating Skolaris' contribution to school efficiency; studying interactions between "user’s perceptions and effective productivity of Skolaris". The hypothesis following from these different orientations is that a school management software could affect the performance of a school. Thus, to achieve these objectives, we used a hybrid method. The results obtained from the questionnaires portray the significant contribution of a SMSf in the performance of the Government Bilingual High School Ndikiniméki (GBHSN), based on administrative staff satisfaction. The observation grids analysis highlights the non-optimal use of Skolaris at GBHSN. Interviews show that this situation is not only related to the training of stakeholders in the use and possible uses of this SMSf, but also to actor’s motivation to subscribe to the training methods for the use of LGS. Suggestions have been made to politics for institutional reform and logistical considerations, and to school administrative staff for the concessions / sacrifices to be made.en_US
