Résumé: | This study is based on the observation that the rate of ICT use in public administration in Cameroon is still low. The main objective is to show that there is a link between the use of ICT and modernization in public administration. To do so, we administered a survey questionnaire to 103 staff from the MINFOPRA South regional delegation. We opted for a qualitative research, the collected data was analyzed using SPSS 20.0 software. Using Pearson's chi-square test, we analyzed and tested the hypotheses. At the end of this confirmatory analysis, the interpretation of the results obtained allowed us to conclude that there is a link between the use of ICTs and the modernization of public administration in Cameroon. To validate this hypothesis, the study relied mainly on the structuringist theory Developed by Orlikowski, it allowed us to understand the importance of ICT in administration. We have made suggestions according to which: administrations must align themselves with the use and optimization of digital technology to increase production and efficiency in our services, on a daily basis this involves training and retraining public officials in the use of ICT. |
