Résumé: | Despite efforts made by the Chadian government to remedy the problem of access to electricity in cities, there are always real problems to Moundou. The objective of this study is to analyze the difficulties of access to electricity in the districts of Djarabé 2 and Dokab, linked to the urban growth. The methodology used consisted in researching documentaries and a survey of a sample of 150 households. The data collected was processed with Excel software for statistics, QGIS, SPSS for the cards. It shows that the urban growth of Moundou is linked to the increase in its population, economic activities that will generate in turn the spatial spread of the city by creating outlying districts. The electricity supply infrastructure in Moundou is insufficient since the network only covers 42.5% of needs, with a capacity of 1100 KWh i.e. 1.1 MW. Thus, households do not have easy access to electricity in the peripheral districts. Connection to the national low-intensity network (LV), requires a lot of financial resources. This forces people to buy the generators and solar panels. State efforts to promote the exploitation of renewable energies, are commendable, in the sense that this will make it possible to meet the needs of the populations in electrical energy. |
