Abstract

This study on "infrastructures routières et dynamique socio-économique dans le department de la Mefou et Akono de 1992 à 2020", aims to analyze the socio-economic changes brought about by the establishment of road infrastructure in the department of Mefou and Akono. In other words, this study highlights the contribution of road infrastructure to the socio-economic development of this department. Based on a variety of documentation, consisting of books, articles, dissertations and theses, sources composed of passive observation, oral and iconographic data. The synthesis of this collected information is based on chronological and analytical approaches. Composed of national, regional and municipal road, the very first of which was built in 1912" Kribi-Yaoundé", the road infrastructures have brought the socio-economic development of the department of Mefou and Akono. Subdivided into four, the first deals with the history of the roads and the typology of the main roads in the department of Mefou and Akono. This chapter shows a brief history of the roads and their condition. The chapter, meanwhile, bears the importance of the road in economic development. It shows how the road allows the opening up of a locality and the creation of economic activities. The third chapter deals with the road has brought or brought to the department of Mefou and Akono. Finally the fourth chapter deals with the problems, the socio-economic stakes and the perspectives for the optimal development of this department.
